Hey Rob. I apologize for starting things off on a bad note. Sometimes I take artifact hunting to serious, I blame my college education for that, lol. I need to remember its supposed to be fun!
No, but I have a PhD in psychology. I'm truly sorry for offending you. I was having some fun. There are some outragous posts out there and I thought yours was one of them but your pics validate. Nice finds. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Rob do you have a degree in Geology and Anthropology? I do! All I am trying to do is share some knowledge that has taken me 30 years to acquire. So if you don't mind keep your ignorant replies to yourself!!
Hey Rob, 95% of what I've found is quartz/quartzite, after that it would be Rhyolite, and just the occasional Chalcedony, Flint & Jasper. Usually the more exotic the stone the older the find is - I think the earlier NA's had more trade, going on, than the Woodland Period NA's. There's some real competition going on out there these days for the prime artifact grounds -
