Indian Gaming Stones??????

matt dohm

Hi, I'm new to this site.  I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on theses stones?  I was told they may be indian game stones.   They look like they are made of white marble, granite??? not sure.  Are they worth anything?  thanks for looking

They look like the game pieces I have. 2 of mine are the size of grapefruit made from white quartz and one is the size of an orange also made from quartz.
Perfectly round.

The two on the left look like game stones and the one on the right looks more like a didotsi. I'm not sure of the spelling as it has been years since I heard the term and only then once in a conversation with a Cherokee friend. They were given to the sick by medicine men. It really depends on the site and context in which they were found.

A person I knew in Idywild Ca. found stones like yours while diging a foundation for a house, some were round some flat. He was told the materalwas from Wisconson? and they were most likely shawmans tools. peace:

I saw something similar in Utah in a Fremont indian museum. They seemed to think they might be gaming pieces.
