Ok, so I'm looking for some new fields around my area, and have been doing a little bit of research online about the creeks in my area that flow into the Ohio River. There are 2 main creeks that I live near that do that. One is Sunday Creek, the other is Monday Creek. Both creeks were used by the Indians. I know of 2 fields on either side of a portion of Monday Creek in Nelsonville, Ohio, and I plan on searching them, as well as the outer banks of the creek, but I was wondering if anybody else has had any luck with Monday Creek/Sunday Creek in general?

I found my first arrowhead today after about of month of patience! The tip if broken off but as much as we plow that field I am lucky it is intact this much.
This was found this year in a small creek in Groveland, NY. The area it was found in is rich with Indian Artifacts. I have only been picking for a short time and do not know much about anything in Indian Artifacts. This item looks to me like a buffalo or a bird. It has a small hole where a laniard went through. The part that looks like the head is actually sharp, so it could have been used as a skinning tool. I also wonder if the notches might have been used to hone arrows? The item is made form rock and is 4" long by about an 1 1/8" wide. I believe the item is held as shown in photos, as it fits perfectly in the hand, and is smooth where the thumb and fingers rest. Any input would be appreciated and if you need more info from me please ask. Im trying to find out what it is and approximately the time period it would be from.
