Hello and welcome to the forum!

I don't know what kind of point you have, definately got me stumped. I do know it's not an Etley tho. The stem is too narrow and the blade form just isn't right. I would also say it's from the Woodland period from the style and flaking. Etley is late Archaic.

What state did you find it in? That would help a lot in narrowiing it down. I'm from IL and can find nothing in the Overstreet in my area that looks much like it other than a couple of types of Turkeytails and I don't believe it's one of those either.

Whatever it is, it's a beauty! Congrats on the find! Did you find it in the water as the in-situ picture suggests? If so keep looking in that water!

Not sure on the type, it's out of my region. But what a beauty you found! Great in-situ as well, that's a killer piece!

Wow! You have found some really cool points! Congrats and may your luck continue. I like the way you have them displayed too.

As for the first point you posted I did some more looking last night and I think it may be what is just called a Base Tang knife. They are found in your/our area of the mid-west.

The only other type I could come up with that was even close is a type called a Oauchita. It is an earlier type (Mid-Archaic) than the base tang and is found mainly in Texas but is related. Whatever it is it's still a beauty!
