We have a large collection that has been collected over the last 100 years. Every piece was found in the ground by either my great grandfather through to me. There was a question on some of our larger pieces that they were reproductions. However I remember as a child bending over and picking up one of the large corner tangs we have. Any help would be appreciated in helping us find an authenticator in Utah near Salt Lake City. Than you all in advance. We are currently seeking potential buyers for the collection. All of our points were found on our farm in Melrose, NM or in the area of Arch, NM also some from our original farm in Abiline, TX and some near the Pecos River.

Can't help with an authenticator but I am afraid you are going to be really disappointed when you find one. Flint thunderbirds and fish hooks are always suspect and to my knowledge have never been found in archaeological context. Indians simply did not make them. The Turkeytail point in the upper right IMO is also suspect, they are Midwest pieces and not found in the SW. I am not trying to authenticate from pics, but those really stick out.
It is better to burn out than fade away.

Looking over the frame some are modern/fake and some may be OK but cannot tell because picture is poor quality. I have marked fake on the ones I think are.

Shawn,
Sorry to inform you but I agree with the panel on this one. It is unfortunate, however on the good side I looked at the pic above Jacks before I scrolled down and picked out the same exact pieces. Though that probably doesnt make you feel any better, but it means that I am learning!_Bill

The paleo looking thing above the bird also looks fake.
