I was able to get out a couple more times in the field I hunt, and couldn't believe I found
another hammer just lying there in plain sight. Found a few more nice little things as well.

I'm not sure about this rock. I kind of looks like a garden tool, but may
just be a rock. I've found a couple more like this here.



A little piece of a pipe I think.




Would have been hard to miss this rock, but it has been lying there for weeks.
I just hadn't walked by yet. This hammer is actually v-shaped, and the sides
going up from the more pointed end are fairly polished. I'm wondering why the sides
of this hammer or maul, are so smooth. Might have had a little different use.

Gary you sure had a great hunt with some good looking artifacts found. I really like the KRF Flake knife, thats what I would call it down here. It is KRF isn't it ?

Thanks Dan, Yes its KRF, but it sure has a lighter color to part of it. I didn't know it could be so light colored. A flake knife.... Thanks. Hasn't rained now for awhile, so haven't been going out.

Yes we do but its very hard to come by...I only have one broken base with that same color and type.

I can't see anything under the soybeans,I need a cornfield and lots of rain! Sweet flake knife,My favorite is the white scraper with the cool bev side. Nice haul, Sandy

Jesse, Its not real common here either. I've found only 2 points, and a couple of scrapers. Need to find out where this material is most common.

Thanks Sandy. I probably won't be able to hunt this field too much longer. Might get some rain tonight. Hope so. Thats the first flake knife I've found like that.

Thanks Greg. I do know the older farmer that farmed this field many years ago found over 100 hammers, but don't think he got down to really look for points and smaller artifacts. It must have
been a heavily used campsite, but I do think I'm the first in many years to hunt this field.

That prarie side notch has some nice flaking on it not to mention a cool material, you've been kickin it out there Gary, congrats!!!!
