You found some nice flint, but your maul/hammer intriques me. I have found a few axes, seen a whole lot more from my area. A couple hundred or more. But I have seen exactly two mauls/hammers and I didn't find either one of them. They are not as glamorous as a bitted grooved axe, bit IMO, a lot more rare.

Hope you find your hammer. There are lots of them found in the hills east of me, by farmers and
ranchers. Just about everyone I ask, has found one. Gary
