Here is the complete tally for two outings this week. If anyone can fill me in on the points I would credit them the next time I pick one up and show my newfound knowledge. This first pic is of the axe I found which I showed in an earlier thread.



This next pic shows the broken axe that looks to have been converted to a hammerstone found by my wife.



Here are the points we found; second up on the left would have been a killer.


Great couple of hours!!! We also found some early settler pottery and broken tableware.

Nice Graham cave!

Here I go again! I'd say the 3 incher on the left is a Big Sandy!

Thats a bunch of nice finds Jon, you guys goin to argue about the Graham Cave / Big Sandy point thing Good luck. Thought I had a GC. once but was not. Can't wait to hear the points of view. Joe.

My guess is graham cave just based on shape. What other attributes would distinguish it from a big sandy or visa versa.

Put on a close-up so we can see the flaking.

Jon the 3 inch Graham Cave is a beaut!! great find. I have never even found a chunk of an axe. Your wife is surely a keeper if she finds stuff like that. Most everything looks to be archaic time period, nice stuff-Bill
