Thanks for the comments everyone. I am please to share my good fortune. This is one of the probably 10 best pieces I have found in almost 30 years. Sometimes it pays to be lucky instead of good. That day, I parked and decided to walk an area of a creek I had not hunted before. I was going to walk two hours and turn and walk back. I walked by this thing twice! I stopped to call home about 3/4 the way back and looked down and saw two brokens between my feet. She says "you better look around there."- DUH! I saw it in about two steps back, told her "its a drill" and promptly hung up on her.

Great drill. Can't beilieve that it has survived for all these years and not got broke. I feel the find. Looks like a pretty good place to hunt. Stream bed? Barry Atwater

Thanks Sport.The water had been way up in the early spring and when it went down, there it was laying about 10 feet above the creek. I think it had just washed out.

You said you never hunted it before??? Bet its on your list now!
