I have strange ideas sometimes. This is what I came up with recently. Reminds me of an iced doughnut for some reason. I'll give it a shot this weekend and see how it works.

nice!!, or you could use a five gallon bucket! just cut the bottom about an inch away from the edge and do the same with the silicone and maybe a screw or two! its a better space saver...

....oh if you use the bucket...glue or silicone the pexyglass through the inside! ;)

I dont know where you live but no free air here. Cost .75 to 1.00 just to fill something for about 3 mins. Hope your trick works at least your head will stay dry :)

Jesse, have seen the bucket or a section of pvc pipe, but the inner tube is a first. But I think Noah is on to something there, not only wide screen, but if he gets tired of wading in the water, now he can float! And he has a place to set his beer and his lunch!
Let us know how it works Noah.

Tried it out after some turkey and it worked great even though I didn't get to try it in an area I usually hunt and the bottom was murky and coated in algae. I made two big oversights though.

1. Need to make a puncture-proof skin for it

2. Need to take a stick with a strainer next time so I don't have to go swimming in freezing water

Yeah, popped it on a branch going back home.. bummer. I'll just have to make another because I really had fun using it. :)

Great photos of a great idea in action. I was just showing my wife, suggesting we try the same thing here next warm season. We hunt so much shoreline on the bay and stop at the waters edge. I know the shellfishermen around here bring stuff up in their bullrakes now and then and a water lens would open the near shore up to us. Thanks, Noah, looking forward to seeing how it all goes.
