This is an unfluted Clovis that was found in KY that was in my Collection. It is another artifact that is made of highgrade material that does not show age like lesser grade materials, based on my conversations with Dwain. This one has a Rogers COA on it.

Larry

I bought it from a collector without a paper, sent it to Dwain Rogers and he papered it.

Is that hornstone Jack? Sure has the right color, I know some of the turkeytails I have seen made out of hornstone show little wear as well. Beautiful piece-Bill

Yes it is Bullseye Hornstone, has a black band, next to blue. This Clovis looks like it could have been made yesterday, but its real.

I figured it was Jack, I have friends who have hunted along the Ky/Ohio border and found turkeytails that look like they were made yesterday as well, that is what drove me to ask. Hornstone is a material to me with its color and design that was just meant to have an arrowhead made out of it, the perfect material. I have a soft spot for the turkeytails made of it. Very nice-Bill

greywolf22...Awesome...awesome piece! Comes from a good state too!
You can bet the Indian that made this knew exactly what he was doing!

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could go back in time just for a day and witness first
hand such a awesome piece being crafted.

Simple and awesome.
Those Clovis people sure knew how to pick good material, high grade and doesn't show age.
