NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS FROM THE ADMIN TEAM

The forum has been put into “read only” mode to temporarily stop any further posting. This is needed to ensure that all data can be migrated across to the new forum without interruption. It appears that some of you are still able to post (perhaps because you were logged in at the time the forum was switched to “read only” and have not subsequently logged out). That was not intended to be the case, so please STOP making any further posts.

We are still awaiting advice from the Developer team on when the new forum will go live. When it does, you will no longer see the orange banner message at the top of the page and you will need to log in again. You will also need to renew your password (but you should be able to re-use the same password that you currently have). Passwords cannot be transferred across to the new forum because they are encrypted for your security.

Wow what fun, preserving history of the many generations that came before us. I have always enjoyed rocks in genral. This past year I started looking my property over to take a break from hunting and found a few points ect.this year over a 3 trip walk about I found between 40~50 pieces on my place . I took a buddy last time with me he found 11 himself, some of the better pieces I recovered this year were from a bluff overhang and small cave on my place. my wife said her grandfather used to find them by the pocket fulls on our place when he would work up the gardens . Now I am wondering if this is an old multi generation site? on the map the old cherokee boundrie line runs right across the place. lots of fun I cant wait to find more . :P

I'm only here because someone mentioned free beer & Cheetos.

What part of the country are you in? It sounds like a multi-component site, which is pretty common. If a spot was good, everyone used it. The same goes for roadways. If you study old maps you will find that a lot of our current highways and interstates are pretty much the same paths that have been in use hundreds of years.

When you are in the forum, choose your picture then click the
delete_xtra_space-20101012.jpg

Deleting that extra space should allow it to work.

Wow Raymmond...I'm jealous!....sounds like you live on a prime piece of ground that could of possibly been used for many generations by the indians.
I look forward to seeing what you have found...and by the way....a big welcome coming your way from Kentucky!

What luck to have your spot right on your land! I am also new to this, my husband got me started. I have gone looking for arrowheads 2 times and I am hooked!! I have an infant and a 3 year old and that makes it hard for me to go when I want. It's just like when I taught myself to fish when I was very young. My mother couldn't get me to come in to eat all day she brought me food. I would come in when the fish stoped biting, when it got dark lol. It would be so great if I could just go into my back yard to look!!!
