This wonderful 2 3/4 inch long Hopewell Pipe of purple pipestone depicts a frog sitting. It was originally part of the Edward Payne Collection, and is shown in black and white in Photographs ofinteresting and Outstanding Speimens of Indian Relicsfivm the Edward W Payne Stone Age Collection on page one hundred eighteen ( inset ).
