This interesting and peaceful outdoor hobby can be a great addition to your quests.

It is fascinating to learn that many collectors find the hobby of metal detecting by accident. Regardless of how you get started or come to the hobby, discovering targets located below the earth with a metal detector can be exciting and profitable! So you are probably wondering, how I get started and how can I locate more arrowheads, relics and related objects?

Begin by deciding where you want to use your new metal detector. Many of the sites where you are currently digging can yield coins and relics. Many diggers find arrowheads in the same dig while searching for relics that the detector initially alerted them to. What type of sites do you plan to use your detector at? Do you expect to be at sites where there are rivers, streams or water? Or will you strictly hunting on land?
